REVIEW:
The
Wildfire Faldo Golf Course at the Marriott Desert Ridge
Resort and Spa is located on the north side of Phoenix.
It is an easy 30-minute drive from any where in the metro
area. It opened a year ago along with its sister course
designed by Arnold Palmer. It has generous fairways with
large bent grass greens. It has over 100 traps and we seemed
to find most of them while playing our round of golf. The
golf staff made sure that that all our needs were met so
that we would have an enjoyable and fun time out on the
course. As we made our way from hole to hole we always had
great views of the mountains in the background. Each hole
was carefully thought to challenge but yet reward well struck
shots. The course was maintained in great shape. We would
have liked to see a GPS system in use as it makes it easier
for first timers to make their way around. However our foursome
thoroughly enjoyed playing the Wildfire Faldo Golf Course.
We hope we get a chance to come back soon and review the
Palmer course.
